I asked Pix how to go viral on Twitter, this is what he said 👇

GM Friends 👋

This week I’ve got some alpha for all of my friends who want to grow on Twitter.

In this episode I’ll cover:

🪂 Care-Package:
⚔️ Pix’s secret weapon — The Wife Test

💃 Watch out for the woman in the red dress

🪂 Care-Package:

A weekly package of actionable strategies to help you Grow Faster through content, business & health.

🧲 Attract an audience:

⚔️ Pix’s secret weapon — The Wife Test

Pix has been blowing up lately, pumping out multi-million view threads like:

But what has been so impressive about his recent growth is how he’s able to back it up every single week.

And even more impressive than that, he’s been able to do it by taking Web3 core narratives, and making them easy for the mainstream to understand.

In the NELK example, of course that can go viral because almost everyone knows NELK.

But what about a story about Franklin? A Bored Ape collector and notorious trader in our space, that no one outside of Web3 knows about?

Could be make a thread about Franklin blow up?

The answer is yes:

Earlier this week I jumped on a call with Pix and asked him:

“What’s your secret? How do you keep making these threads blow up. Even when they’re Web3 narratives with a niche audience size?” 🕵️‍♂️

And he told me about his secret weapon — The Wife Test.

Let me explain…

Pix isn’t writing threads to just reach the 50,000 active people in Web3.

He’s writing threads for everybody.

And everybody includes people who don’t know anything about our space.

They don’t know what about Pudgy Penguins, Frank DeGods, nothing.

So what Pix does is:

When he finishes writing a thread, he gives it to his Wife who has almost no context about anything in our Web3 world.

And what he’s noticed is that if she thinks it's an awesome story, often that will correlate with it going viral.

Makes sense right? If a normal Web2 person can find the story interesting, then that means its an inherently interesting story.

So how can you use this?

If your goal is to get BIG like Pix, you can’t just write for people who are going to understand all the inside jokes of Web3.

You need to write for people who have NO IDEA about anything we talk about every day.

The next time you write a piece of content where you want it to go viral, show it to a friend who knows nothing about Web3.

If they approve, chances are you’ve got a winner 🏆️

*Also @Pix, pls don’t kill me for sharing this secret.

🍄 Become Better:

📈 When I started focussing, I started earning more.

This is something that I’m experiencing more and more every week.

Earlier in the year, I was chasing a lot of opportunities.

Content, trading, consulting, airdrop farming, etc.

It was a lot.

And I was constantly asking myself the question:

“How can I make this bigger?”

I felt like a hunter, always needing to find my next meal. But when that meal was over, it was like I was back at zero.

Then I focussed.

I decided I’m only hunting for content agency clients, and even if I get other good opportunities I’m saying no.

Initially, I was earning less. A lot less.

But within 2 months, what ended up happening was:

  • I got better at delivering work for clients (which made the work faster to complete)

  • I became more known for delivering content at scale to brands (and having a reputation for this resulted in more people sending me clients)

  • I learnt how to manage clients better (preventing overwork on each project and making the work feel easier)

The result: Revenue has grown every month and is now higher than it’s ever been.

Now I say no to 100% of the opportunities that come my way (even the really good ones) that fall outside of this category of work.

My advice to you:

If right now you’re working on six different things, and one of them is working better than the others. Consider going all in on it.

The benefits of focus are invisible until you start attacking it.

And when you experience these benefits, you’ll ask yourself:

“Why didn’t I do this sooner? This is awesome.”

🌿 Feel f*cking fantastic:

💃 Watch out for the woman in the red dress

This is an extension of the concept in the article above.

You need to be careful of the woman in the red dress.

These are the small opportunities that come up along the way, that try to take you off course.

This video by Alex Hormozi captures this core idea around focus and what to look out for:
