I’m cooking up something for my Web3 job seekers 👨🍳
GM Friends 👋
Hope you’ve had an awesome week. In this episode I’ll cover:
🪂 Care-Package: Growing your network, what I’m cooking & eliminating
🧗♂️ Building in Public: The Newsletter
🪂 Care-Package:
A weekly package of actionable strategies to help you Grow Faster through content, business & health.

🤝 How to grow your network in Web3
If you want to find unexpected opportunities in Web3,
You won’t get them passively by just creating content.
It all comes down to the classic phrase:
“It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”
I’ve taken 100s of networking calls over the past year, and I’ve noticed a few trends.
There’s a right way to network and a wrong way to network.
❌ The wrong way:
The majority of people make two simple but important mistakes.
1️⃣ They spend the entire call or meeting talking about themselves or what they’re building.
2️⃣ They go into the meeting with something that they want from the other person.
We’ve all experienced it…
Meeting someone at a party, going on a date, talking to that person at a work event…
They meet you, they introduce themselves and then they spend 20 minutes telling you about what they’re doing. Without ever asking you a question about what you’re interested in.
Feels pretty sh*tty right?
It’s the exact same in Web3.
Going in with this approach makes the other person feel like you don’t care about them, prevents them from wanting to jump on another call and closes doors that might not be obvious at the time.
But there is a right way to meet people in Web3.
✅ The right way:
1️⃣ Only jump on calls with people that you genuinely are excited to meet. If you are excited to meet the person, they can feel it, and you both will have an awesome time.
You guys have heard me shoutout Kelano 100 times in this newsletter, but he’s the perfect example of someone who everytime I hear him talk I’m excited to hear what he’s up to.
2️⃣ Go into the call thinking about what you can give, not what you can take. This usually only takes 15 minutes of extra work before jumping on the call.
If you do things the right way, it creates this compounding positive feedback loop where:
✅ You make a true new friend.
✅ That friend knows what you’re interested in, and when they find opportunities they’ll often send them to you (this happens to me organically every day with all my jobs content)
✅ You and your friend introduce each other to new people that you think they should meet, compounding these benefits.
So my challenge to you. Reach out to someone new this week, that you’re excited to meet, and go into the meeting with a givers mindset.
If you want a deeper breakdown on how I think about meeting new people in Web3, check out the post below:
Networking in Web3 has been my ultimate growth hack.
Every time I meet someone:
✅ I learn a better way to make high engagement content.
✅ Get introduced to business partners & opportunities.
✅ Learn how other creators are growing their businesses.
But most people suck at… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

🍄 Become Better:
👨🍳 I’m cooking up something for my Web3 job seekers.
My goal is to get you your dream job in Web3.
But as I’ve built out my jobs newsletter, and learnt more about the experience of Web3 job seekers…
I’ve learnt that it f*cking sucks.
For 90% of people this is their experience:
❌ The jobs are hard to find.
❌ The jobs say they're remote when they're actually not.
❌ They're not transparent about pay.
❌ You have to search through 50 jobs that you don't care about to find one that's right for you.
❌ When you finally find that dream job, you spend 5 minutes reading to figure out that you’re not qualified.
❌ It takes another 10+ minutes to fill out an application of a job you’re half interested in.
❌ You don't know if they saw your application (or if you just wasted those 10 minutes)
❌ After a week or two of searching you feel like it's not working and you burn out.
Why should YOU have to put up with this experience?
You shouldn’t. This can be so much better.
And I’m going to make it better.
Building my jobs newsletter has been a great starting point. But it’s a part of the problem.
You deserve an experience that is easy to use, takes no time at all and actually gets you a job that you are suited to.
So that’s what I’m building.
Over the coming weeks I’ll be building a new platform that only the people in this newsletter and my jobs newsletter get access to.
It’s time to get your first job in Web3. Stay tuned.
🌿 Feel f*cking fantastic:
⚔️ Cut procrastination by deleting apps.
Such a simple and obvious hack that I wish I’d started sooner.
Earlier this week I noticed I’d developed a habit that was taking a lot of my attention.
Opening the YouTube app.
I love entrepreneurial & educational content,
But the trap is that watching educational videos can feel productive or fun, but it’s taking you away from the things you enjoy or the work you need to do.
I tried consciously using it less, but then I realised. Why not make this even easier? Delete the app.
It’s so simple, and I haven’t missed the app at all.
Instead,
I’ve found myself wanting to use my phone less AND when I do check my phone,
I now use the time to respond to DMs (which I usually never find the time to get through).
Your app might be Twitter, TikTok or Instagram, but everyone has an app.
If your attention is being drained, try deleting the app and see if you miss it.
What you’ll most likely find is that you get your time, attention and mental clarity back so much more than you would have ever expected.
🧗 Started from the bottom now we’re here…
If you’re new here, one of the core principles of the content I share is that a newsletter is the most linear and simple business you can start in Web3. It has high sponsorship revenue and can go from being a side hustle to a full-time business in under a year. I am building this newsletter in public, to share the progress each week so that you can be a part of the journey. Now let’s get into it 👇
This Week:
Subscribers: 3,574 (+9 Subscribers)
Open Rate: 41.6%
Tracking my goals:
🚂 Improve the graphic design of this newsletter: Paused until 4,000 subs.
🚂 3,574 / 4,000 Subscribers: Grinding daily.
✅ Update the welcome email for new subscribers: (Complete)
Have an awesome weekend 💪
