Getting your first job in Web3... šŸ’Æ

GM Friends šŸ‘‹

Hope you’ve had an awesome week. In this episode I’ll cover:

šŸ¤ Getting your first job in Web3
šŸŖ‚ Care-Package: Writing engaging content, accelerating learning & building habits
šŸ§—ā€ā™‚ļø Building in Public: The Newsletter

Let’s jump into it šŸ’Æ

šŸ¤ Getting your first job in Web3

Recently I’ve been writing a lot of threads that look like this:

It’s been so awesome to see how many people want to get a job in Web3.

But, what I’ve found is that there are so many jobs that I come across every day in my research, that don’t make it into my content.

I’ve also been getting a lot of requests from you guys for opportunities in different areas of work.

šŸŖ„ So I’ve made this:

This is a page that I’ve made so that whenever I come across a job that you may be qualified for, I can send them through to you.

I’ll be taking a couple hours each weekend to send these job opportunities.

So if you’re serious about working in Web3, click the link above.

šŸŖ‚ Care-Package:

A weekly package to help you Grow Faster šŸ’Æ

🧲 Attract an audience:

How to write content that people want to read: Creating ā€œCuriosity Gapsā€

The most important part of any piece of content that you make is the hook.

The first tweet of a thread, first 3 seconds of a video, headline of an article.

If you don’t capture someone’s attention in that first moment, they’re gone forever.

So how do you hook people?

You need to create ā€˜curiosity gaps’

Like a cliff hanger at the end of a tv show, you need to leave the reader with a feeling of ā€œthis will f*ck with me if I don’t read the next part of this.ā€

Here’s an example from a viral piece of content I’ve written:

What the reader is paying attention to:

ā€œ$200,000 per yearā€

ā€œUntapped opportunityā€

ā€œNo one is taking advantageā€

ā€œHere’s how I can?

When you’re scrolling, this is the type of caption that makes you stop for a moment, and want to read the next tweet in the thread.

Once you have them reading the second tweet, it’s about piecing together as many of these curiosity gaps as possible to keep the reader engaged to the end of the thread.

šŸ„ Become Better:

Learn from peers at your level

I’ve shared this idea in the past, but this week I have to double down on it.

I’ve caught up with Zaimiri, Legendary & Punk to learn about how they are approaching content,

And from every single one of them I left the conversations with massive upgrades to my approach.

Don’t spend all your time learning in isolation. Find people on a similar path to you and share learnings.

🌿 Feel f*cking fantastic:

Don’t try to form too many habits at once.

Over the past 4 weeks I’ve been trying to change my daily health routine to include new supplements, new exercises and changes to my meditation practice.

But what I noticed is that by having multiple areas that I’ve been trying to improve in, I haven’t been consistent with any of them.

So I asked myself ā€œWhich of these habits will create the biggest positive change?ā€

For me it was easily the meditation. I’m now at the end of the week and haven’t missed a day with my new routine.

If you’re trying too many things, pause for a moment and try adding the most important habit first, the rest can follow.

šŸ§— Started from the bottom now we’re here…

If you’re new here, one of the core principles of the content I share is that a newsletter is the most linear and simple business you can start in Web3. It has high sponsorship revenue and can go from being a side hustle to a full-time business in under a year. I am building this newsletter in public, to share the progress each week so that you can be a part of the journey. Now let’s get into it šŸ‘‡

Massive growth this week, thanks to my man Zaimiri who went viral whilst recommending my thread šŸš€

This Week:
Subscribers: 2,674 (+127 Subscribers)
Open Rate: 43.8%

Tracking my goals:

āœ… Get my first sponsorship: (Complete)

šŸš‚ 2,674 / 3,000 Subscribers: Awesome week towards this goal.

āœ… Create a new internal template: (Complete)

It’s been an awesome week, on to the next one šŸ’Æ
