This is how I network to get paid opportunities in Web3 👇

GM Friends 👋

This week, I’m going unfiltered.

I’m sharing my exact process for creating content and how I network to get more paid opportunities.

✅ How to actually get sh*t done

Before we start, I worked with Courtyard to make something pretty awesome:

This is super simple:

If you buy a Pokemon Card NFT for $25,

You either get:

1️⃣ A Pokemon card worth more than $25 that you can instant sell

Last month my friend and I got this card worth almost $1,000

2️⃣ A Pokemon card worth less than $25 that you can sell back to the platform for $25.

*Excluding marketplace fees (around $1.50)

This campaign is something that the platform is testing, so referrals for the $25 back will be limited.

🧲 Attract an audience:

📝 This is literally how I make content

Have you ever sat down writing tweets thinking…

“WTF do I write about?”

You feel like you’re the only person who gets writer’s block, and everyone on the timeline is pumping out content 24/7.

Don’t worry, I feel like that too.

Earlier this week I made a video for the token-gated part of our Bricktopians Discord,

But a lot of people told me this was helpful so I want to share it with you too.

This is the unfiltered process of exactly how I write content, and what I think about as I’m creating it:

🍄 Become Better:

🤝 This is how to network to get paid in Web3

It all comes down to a single concept:

WHO you know, matters more than HOW MANY people you know.

All the revenue that I’ve generated in Web3 has come from knowing 3 specific people / agencies.

I didn’t need a BIG network. All I needed was a STRONG network.

So what is the difference?

A BIG network is knowing a bunch of people (but those people might not be in the pathway of a lot of opportunities).

A STRONG network is knowing people who are in the centre of the action (e.g. they work with Web3 brands, they manage a project, etc).

And you don’t need to know many of these people to start getting sponsorships, job offers, alpha, etc.

So how do you build a strong network?

It’s all about identifying:

1️⃣ Who is aggressively hunting opportunities in Web3 (E.g. other active content creators)

2️⃣ Who speaks to A LOT of people per week (E.g. Someone who hosts spaces likely talks to 50+ people per week).

3️⃣ Who has an incentive to work with you to create shared success (e.g. a Web3 marketing agency)

Then, if you want to leverage this network to get opportunities, you need to:

✅ Tell them EXACTLY what you’re looking for (e.g. Ghostwriting gigs, social media job, sponsorships, etc).

✅ Make it clear what their incentive is for helping you (e.g. giving them a 20% referral fee on any business / work they bring you).

If you do this, and spend an entire week purely focussed on pushing this to your network, you will become a magnet for opportunities.

I know this because I tested it this week, and went from zero opportunities on Monday, to now having too many and having to turn down multiple offers now on Friday.

If you want a head start on who to focus on networking with:

  1. R3ACH (Web3 marketing agency that has gotten me most of my opportunities)

  2. Captain Scarlet (Runs a Web3 creator group called Chain Cadets that has some awesome people in it who are all grinding to get opportunities)

  3. Bricktopians (If you want support with your content and direct connection to what I’m doing, we’d love to have you).

🌿 Feel f*cking fantastic:

✅ How to actually get sh*t done

As an entrepreneur, two of my least favourite things are:

1️⃣ Feeling burnt out.

2️⃣ Working super hard but not getting enough done.

If you find yourself frustrated, the video below is the first thing I’ve ever seen that captures the exact obstacles most people face in their work, and how to overcome them.

It only just came out and for me it’s already been a game changer.

If you’re struggling and want a higher ROI for the effort you’re putting in, check it out:

If you made it this far, I love you.

Have a great weekend friends.
