🪂 Care-Package:
A weekly package of actionable strategies to help you Grow Faster through content, business & health.
🧲 Attract an audience:
⚡️ 10k is where everything changes
I’ve seen it time and time again.
Once a creator hits 10,000 followers, everything changes.
You become more hireable,
More sponsorable,
And in general have an easier time reaching out to people on 𝕏.
If you’re under 10k right now, I’ve got good news.
There’s a hack that can get you there faster.
Back in late 2022, it took me 3 months to go from 2k followers to 10k followers and I tested every method to get me there.
From what I’ve learnt, there’s one technique that gets you there faster than the others:
👉 Speaking on as many spaces as possible 👈
When you speak on a space and you have 30-60 people in every room who aren’t following you right now.
If you speak on 5x spaces per day and come out with 10-20 followers each.
You can brute force your way to 10k followers faster than everyone else.
This is a grind, and I know it because I actually did this (and wrote a thread every single day) until I got my first 10k followers.
This is tough, and most people won’t do it.
But if you can do it,
You will start to experience the life you want in Web3.
🍄Become Better:
🤝How to make people WANT to pay you in Web3
I’ve been working with a lot of creators lately,
Helping them get paid opportunities using their brand.
I’ve also helped a bunch of people get their first jobs in Web3 and I’ve now started to see some patterns.
There seems to be two type of people.
The people who care, and the people who don’t.
Let’s start by talking about the people who don’t.
Person 1: Doesn’t care — Wants to do the minimum possible and move on.
This is a person who:
➣ When they get a content opportunity, they spend less than 15 mins on it, often saying to themselves “This is so good! I got paid $100+ for less than 15 mins of work.”
➣ They take so long to make the content that you’re not sure if they’re going to do it.
➣ And then when you reach out to follow up, they never respond, sometimes taking days to get back to you.
When you work with this type of person, it makes you feel like you don’t know if they’re going to be reliable, and when they do deliver, it’s always low quality.
As someone who is looking for creators to work with, when I work with someone like this it makes me say to myself “Okay that person has a big following, but working with them makes it WAY to hard.”
“Instead I want to work with…”
Person 2: On time & overdelivers
This is a person who:
➣ When they make branded content, they don’t want it to feel like a shill. So they put heaps of effort into the storytelling of the piece.
➣ They get the content done quickly, so you never need to follow them up.
➣ If you message them, you hear back from them as soon as they’re available.
This is someone who is awesome to work with.
This is someone who when a brand reaches out to me I’m like “F*ck yeah, this guy is perfect for this role. Now I just need to find the other people.”
If you can be person #2, you will get way more opportunities than everyone else.
The bar is low in Web3, and every opportunity can be YOURS 🫵
🌿Feel f*cking fantastic:
🏆️Don’t let perfection hold you back from being good
Last week I missed an article for the first time in 2 years.
And I’ll admit, even now I’m kind of like “Damn, now what?”
It’s almost like having a cheat meal, missing a week at the gym or falling out of sync with a habit.
And this is where most people get sloppy.
One turns into two, two turns into three and the next thing you know, you’ve lost the habit.
But I use an awesome trick for getting momentum back, that I learnt from Atomic Habits:
If you miss once, don’t let yourself miss twice.
If you ever find yourself missing a habit that’s important to you,
Don’t let the voice in your head allow you to miss it a second time.
Get back into it, and regain your momentum.
Have a great weekend friends ☀️
