📈 How to Social Hack: Kermit is a Genius

So, one of the best growth strategies since the birth of social media has been Social Hacking.

This is where you create content featuring another creator (preferably a larger one) to drive interest to what you’re creating.

It normally looks like this:

But Kermit is a genius and took it one step further. By creating something that the other creators want to share.

What he did:

Kermit recreated several of the biggest creators in Web3 and many of his friends in this Minecraft-like style.

The Effect:

Several of those creators were excited to be featured and shared his work, amplifying him as a creator.

This is my character (NSFW 😂):

He’s also done this previously with this art style that you may recognise:

Well done Kermit, this is an awesome strategy 👏

🍄 Become Better:

🚀 Crash course on delegating & getting an assistant

I’ve always been terrible at delegating (particularly with important work).

But I’ve also known that if I can get support on the repeatable tasks, and I personally can focus more on the deep work, my productivity will skyrocket 🚀

This podcast episode has reignited my desire to get a virtual assistant and start taking delegation more seriously.

If you want to know the practical steps and mindset needed to level up your productivity, I highly recommend checking it out:

💊 I took the pill from Limitless (sort of…)

Have you ever sat at your desk and thought to yourself,

“I wonder what I’d be like if I was in the movie limitless?”

I have. Too many times.

So this week I decided to do a bit of biohacking.

A long time ago I’d listened to a podcast by Andrew Huberman.

In it he spoke about a combination of supplements:

The outcome of taking both together was meant to be a period of intense focus.

The way he described it was like the movie Limitless. Ideas were meant to start flowing and focus was meant to kick up a notch.

This was exactly what I was looking for.

After testing the combination twice this week, this has been my experience…

Also before getting into it, here’s some quick context about the way I get work done.

During my normal workdays, I find that I am very good at focussing for extended periods of time, and bursting through work without distraction.

But, my main challenge is that I find if I work too long, my brain feels a bit overworked and I need time to recover.

My sweet spot is if I work for 1.5 hours and take a 20 minute break I can go back-to-back all day.

But if I work longer than 2 hours, I find it hard to concentrate afterwards and if I keep pushing through I become less productive later in the day.

I’m also not good at switching between tasks. I like to focus on one task at a time, and I don’t enjoy when too many new things come up throughout the day.

So, let’s get back to my experience.

Tuesday: Experience #1

The Positives:

  • I felt like I was in an immediate flow state. Ideas came really easily, and I blasted through key tasks that had been sitting in my backlog.

  • When new tasks came up throughout the day, it didn’t feel like a disruption, I just got them done and got back to work.

  • I worked 6 hours straight without feeling like I needed a break, and then did another 5 hours straight after that.

  • I had this awesome end of day idea burst when I was taking a break that laid the foundation for my next 3 months of work.

The Negatives:

  • I definitely overcooked it. Later that day I felt pretty tired, like I’d sat an exam.

  • That fatigue carried into the next day. This gave me an idea for how I wanted to adjust my approach on Thursday.

Thursday: Experience #2

The Positives:

  • Once again, immediate flow state.

  • This time I was disciplined and took timed breaks every 2 hours, this made it more enjoyable.

  • The end of the day was less fatiguing.

  • On Friday I felt great.

The Negatives

  • Nothing really. Just a bit tired by the end of the day.

So would I recommend it?

With supplements, particularly those directed at affecting focus, I think it’s always better to do your own research and see if it’s right for you.

A friend that I was working with also tested it, and reported no notable experiences in a positive or negative way.

For me, I don’t plan to make them a part of my work routine, but I’m open minded to testing them again in the future during an extended period of creative work.

If you see me beating the stock market, you know that they’re working.

🧗 Started from the bottom now we’re here…
