Sam Altman: OpenAI CEO speaks on GPT-4

This week we’re diving into:

🎙️ The OpenAi CEO speaks on GPT-4
❤️ Diary of a Founder: How I’m using Ai
🎯 Building in Public: The Newsletter

Before we get into it, I wanted to jump in and say hey to let you know what’s going on in my world.

Today we officially launched our first free mint for our project Bricktopians.

We’ve done a lot of launches in our 2 years, and this has been my favourite.

We’re doing a storytelling series, marking chapters from the past 2 years with an NFT on the blockchain.

At the end of the story, all the pieces will be Forged together to form our new logo for our brand expansion as Abnormal Studios.

Everything worked perfectly, the community was hyped by moments that we’ve all shared together along the way and out of 500 NFTs minted during the presale, only 5 have been listed for sale.

We’ve got 4 drops to go and an exciting few weeks ahead.

You can check out the first NFT here.

A major week in Ai-Interviews

If you missed it, this week has been one of the biggest weeks in Ai interviews. Both hosted by Lex Fridman.

Let’s start with the biggest:

Lex finished l weekend by giving us Sam Altman’s first major interview since the release of GPT-4.

Sam Altman is the CEO of OpenAi, the company behind GPT-4, ChatGPT & Dall-E

Lex followed this interview by speaking with Eliezer Yudkowsky, an esteemed researcher on Ai, one of Sam Altman’s harshest critics and an advocate for the slowing of Ai development.

Watch the Sam Altman interview, and if you’re hungry for more, this one is definitely worth checking out:

Diary of a Founder: How I’m using Ai

Continuing the theme of Ai, this week I jumped into how I’m using Ai to enhance my content creation process.

The TLDR: Don’t use it to create content. Use it to speed up your research.

🎯 Building the Newsletter

If you’re new here, one of the core principles of the content I share is that a newsletter is the most linear and simple business you can start in Web3. It has high sponsorship revenue and can go from being a side hustle to a full-time business in under a year. I am building this newsletter in public, to share the progress each week so that you can be a part of the journey. Now let’s get into it 👇

With my focus being on our launch, I haven’t posted a single thread this week.

Which has been SUPER interesting to see the difference that it has made in my growth.

Meanwhile I’ve still posted 3 videos this week, 2 of which were made in my studio.

This validates how important threads are for growing a newsletter audience.

This Week:
Subscribers: 2,081 (+2 subscribers)
Open Rate: 47.7%

Quick Recap on tracking my current goals:

🚧 Get my newsletter earlier in the week: When I get this, you guys owe me a cookie 🍪

âś… 2,000 / 2,000 Subscribers: This week we have officially smashed our subscriber target. Until I’ve achieved my other two goals, I won’t be setting a new target.

Let the grind continue đź’Ż
