The fastest way to grow your personal brand, and your Web3 business...

GM 👋

This week we’re diving into:

🎙️ How Twitter Spaces can unlock the growth you’ve been looking for
❤️ Diary of a Founder: 1% Better Everyday
🎯 Building in Public: The Newsletter

Let’s get into it… 💯

If you’re not speaking on Twitter Spaces, you are missing out on MASSIVE growth.

If you’ve always wanted to speak on Web3 Twitter spaces but don’t know how to get started, this episode is for you.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again.

Twitter spaces are the FASTEST way to grow your personal brand & your Web3 business, during the early stages.

What most people don’t realise about spaces is that:..

  • The people who follow you after a space like you for who you are. They will be the ones that form your core audience and amplify your content as you grow.

  • You can share your product, NFT or service in a long format, and get immediate feedback.

  • You make genuine friends in Web3 who want to be a part of your journey, and help you grow and succeed. (I have experienced this time and time again).

Early in my journey I made Twitter spaces the central focus of my strategy.

I had multiple days where I got 100+ followers in a single day, purely from speaking on spaces.

This also boosted the growth of my threads, because people who liked me on spaces also liked my content.

With our NFT project Bricktopians, over 50% of our new holders who have joined us over the past 6 months, have been people that have heard us speak on Twitter Spaces.

But… it wasn’t always easy.

When I started going on spaces, I used to be really nervous about hitting the ‘request to speak’ button.

“Am I interrupting?”

“Is this a space that anyone can speak on?”

“I don’t know anything about this topic, how can I contribute?”

After speaking on 300+ spaces, I’ve now learnt one simple thing…

You can hit the request button on any space, and if you get accepted, you are a welcome part of that conversation.

No matter how big it is.

So just hit request.

Okay, so, you’ve hit request and you’re on stage, what do you talk about?

If you’re new to spaces and have absolutely no idea what to say, I’ve found the simplest way to be a positive contributor is to simply ask questions.

For example:

The host mentioned a new NFT project ➡️ “Nice, I’ve never heard of it. What’s the utility of the project?”

The host mentioned Amazon’s NFT Marketplace ➡️ “Sounds interesting, what do you think this will do to onboard new users?”

There is no such thing as a dumb question.

Any question that you ask will be the same question that someone in the audience has, but is too afraid to ask.

But, if you want to take your spaces contributions to the next level, you can take advantage of something that I noticed early in my journey.

Every daily Twitter space more or less has the same conversation.

This means that if there is big news in the morning, most of the conversation that happens in the morning spaces will be the same conversations that are had in the night-time spaces.

If you go to the morning spaces, you will get a very deep understanding of all sides of the conversation, and you will be able to be a major contributor at night.

This is a great technique for getting early confidence with speaking on Twitter spaces.

Now that I am 8 months into doing multiple spaces per week, it feels so much easier than when I first felt nervous to hit request.

If I can do it, you can too 💪

Diary of a Founder: 1% Better Everyday

We often hear people speak about incremental improvement on Web3 Twitter.

But I’ve found that this can sound a bit abstract. What is incremental improvement, and when do you see the results from it?

In this video I captured how I’ve used this mindset to improve my content, and the personal growth that I’ve experienced from it.

🎯 Building the Newsletter

If you’re new here, one of the core principles of the content I share is that a newsletter is the most linear and simple business you can start in Web3. It has high sponsorship revenue and can go from being a side hustle to a full-time business in under a year. I am building this newsletter in public, to share the progress each week so that you can be a part of the journey. Now let’s get into it 👇

Let’s start with the numbers:

This Week:
Subscribers: 2,079 (+162 subscribers)
Open Rate: 48.1%

Sponsorship Requests:

Since hitting 2,000 subscribers, I have now gotten my first official sponsorship requests.

These are early conversations, but it’s interesting to see that companies are now taking notice and reaching out.

Quick Recap on tracking my current goals:

🚧 Get my newsletter earlier in the week: This continues to be my biggest obstacle.

✅ 2,000 / 2,000 Subscribers: This week we have officially smashed our subscriber target. Until I’ve achieved my other two goals, I won’t be setting a new target.

🚂 Expand the content categories: I would love to hear your feedback. What would you like to see more of in this newsletter? Reply to this email or send me a DM on Twitter at @AlexIsBuilding.

Let the grind continue 💯
