šŸ›« How Web3 creators in Dubai are generating income

GM Friends šŸ‘‹

Iā€™m in Dubai atm for ArtsDAO so todayā€™s episode is going to be a quick one.

Also sidenote: Iā€™ll be debating Farokh at 1:30pm on Sunday, definitely come along if youā€™re here.

But if youā€™re reading this, thereā€™s a high chance youā€™re not in Dubai right now.

So donā€™t worry, Iā€™ve got you.

Today weā€™re jumping in with 4 quick lessons that Iā€™ve taken away from this Web3 trip in Dubai.

1ļøāƒ£Ā People are making way more money than you see on the timelineā€¦

Itā€™s actually insane. Iā€™ve gotten to speak to multiple creators and traders that are currently doing almost 6-figures per month right now.

By far, the people who are performing the best in this market are traders and creators who are investing in KOL token rounds at lower valuations than the public sale price.

2ļøāƒ£ Income doesnā€™t correlate with follower size

Some of the highest income earners have under 10,000 followers.

In fact this was the case for most people I spoke to.

Generally speaking, the people with smaller audiences who were generating the biggest numbers did two things:

Firstly, they found one service and got really good at it (e.g. Ghostwriting).

They then understood how to scale it by hiring people who were good enough to fulfil the needs of their existing clients.

Shoutout to Kelano who is f*cking killing it.

3ļøāƒ£ There is an arbitrage with Video right now on Twitter

Everyone talks about building a personal brand,

And what most people really mean by that is followers / audience size.

But the strongest brand you can build is your face.

At this event itā€™s been insane to witness how powerful video content really is.

People who create video are instantly recognised, network faster and get more opportunities.

Even with less than 10k followers, these guys stand out WAY more than creators with 40k+.

Whereas people who donā€™t make a lot of video (like myself in the past 6 months), rely more heavily on warm introductions to create opportunities.

Key takeaway: This doesnā€™t mean go all in on video. I still donā€™t think itā€™s strong for consistent audience growth vs time invested.

BUT, make sure youā€™re including some video content in your strategy so that you have a warmer intro and stronger connection when you meet people for the first time in person or on calls.

4ļøāƒ£ There are multiple ways to win

Hunter has killed it on investments.

Kelano has killed it with his business.

CryptoLeon has killed it with airdrop farming.

There are so many ways to win.

The biggest thing I noticed is those who are the most successful choose one lane and go all in on it.

Find your focus and go all in.
