šŸ§—ā€ā™‚ļø You need to hit at least 1,000 followers to enter the game

Earlier this week we hosted one of our Bricktopians creator workshops, and I got a question from Marko:

ā€œWhat do I need to do to get brand deals?ā€

I checked out his profile,

He makes awesome content,

Is entertaining and insightful,

But he was missing one thing. Followers.

He was at 650, and in order to be looked at by a brand you need to hit at least 1,000.

The ā€˜bracketsā€™ that I notice brands think about are:

āž£ 1,000 ā€” 5,000

āž£ 5,000 ā€” 10,000

āž£ 10,000 ā€” 20,000

āž£ 20,000+

So if youā€™re Marko and you want to get to 1,000. How do you get there quickly?

The answer is simple:

  1. Speak on spaces (this can easily get you 10-30 per space)

  2. Reply like crazy (this is going to be the fastest way to get peopleā€™s attention)

  3. Write about trending topics (if you write about things that happen daily, your content is more likely to surface in other peopleā€™s feeds).

Marko is now at 650 and I want to see him hit 1,000 by the end of October.

If you want to support a new Web3 content creator who just started his journey, you can give him a follow at šŸ‘‰ Marko

šŸ„ Become Better:

šŸ’Ŗ When things get easy go hard

This is a lesson I keep on having to reteach myself.

When things get easyā€¦ GO HARD

As entrepreneurs, when nothing is working, thatā€™s often when weā€™ll grind our hardest.

We push, push, pushā€¦ untilā€¦

Something finally works!

For me itā€™s KOL management, for you it might be paid content creation, collab management, etc.

This momentā€¦ the moment when something worksā€¦

Thatā€™s when something dangerous sets in,

The temptation to relax.

ā€œFinally itā€™s working, now I can stop working 12 hour days and weekendsā€¦ā€

Yes, at some point in the future, we want to chill out a bit and use systems to buy our time back.

The issue that I see most often though is that myself (and many other Web3 friends) often take their foot off the gas as soon as they reach the point of something working.

The issue with this is that, although itā€™s hard to see at that point in time, if you keep pushing then you will soon get the benefits of compounding.

If you take one thing away from this article,

The next time you FINALLY start getting consistent revenue,

Or your content FINALLY starts to help you grow,

Thatā€™s when you go HARD.

This is how you get compounded results and the outsized returns that look impossible to everyone else.

šŸŒæ Feel f*cking fantastic:

ā° Set an alarm to go to bed, not when you wake up

Super underrated hack that I learnt from Alex Hormozi,

If you struggle to wake up in the mornings, you need to switch the way you think about sleep.

Instead of setting an alarm in the morning, set an alarm for the time to go bed.

Right now Iā€™ve got mine set for 9:30pm and itā€™s been working great. Itā€™s the first time in a longtime that Iā€™ve been able to wake up early without needing to think about it.

Since starting this approach, I feel better, have more energy and feel more focussed throughout the day.

Out of every habit Iā€™ve started, this is easily in the top tier thatā€™s made an impact on my work life and personal life.

Have a great weekend Legends šŸ«”
