This is how you get paid with only 1,000 followers on X

GM Friends 👋

We’ve got a HEAP of new subs here since last week.

If you’re new here, welcome ❤️

I’m here to make it SUPER easy for you to monetise your 𝕏 account.

For a lot of you guys, you haven’t taken that first step yet.

And it’s easier than most people expect.

So below I’ve broken down how to get started if you’re at 1,000 followers and a deep dive into the 4 levels of content monetisation in Web3.

Let’s jump in 👇️

🌱 Level 1: It’s a lot lower than you think…

👥 Followers = 1,000
✨ Impressions = 800 per post

That’s it.

That’s all you need to get started.

And even if you’re not a ‘creator’ yet, just by having your stats at this level, you are at the stage where you can start monetising your account.

At this stage you can expect to make roughly $50 per post that will take you around 30 mins to an hour to make.

Note: If you put more effort into your posts, you’ll likely get way more opportunities (and bigger ones) in future.

So how do you get brand deals if you’re just getting started?

➣ Join groups like Creator’s Nexus
➣ Buy creator driven NFTs like Bricktopians, Persona, Play Ember & others. (They’ve got groups in each that offer brand deals to creators — I run Bricktopians).

🪴 Level 2: The Early Stage Creator

This is where you break into the mainstream of monetisation.

At this stage you can essentially get 3-5 brand deals a week and are a strong fit for creator programs.

👥 Followers = 2,500
✨ Impressions = 1,200 per post

At this stage your best source of deals is still creator groups.

This is because you’re too small for brands to deal with one-on-one unless they have the resources to manage this (like Seedworld)

At this size you can expect to consistently earn $100 - $150 per post, with occasional opportunities that go higher than this.

With 3 - 5 posts per week, you’re looking at an extra $2,000 per month depending on your size.

At this stage larger opportunities will usually come directly from the brands themselves (from their internal KOL manager reaching out) or independent KOL managers.

In terms of KOL managers that you can reach out to, definitely hit up Yasmina, Alex & Nissue at CCC

🌳 Level 3: The Medium Sized Creator

👥 Followers = ~8,000
✨ Impressions = 2,500 per post (organic)

Just before you hit 10,000 followers, you’ll likely experience a shift in your experience as a creator.

KOL managers hitting you up 24/7.

You’ll be in all the brand deal groups.

This is the inflection point in your journey.

If you’re at this stage, my recommendation to you is to push HARD to get brand ambassadorships.

This is where you find 2-3 brands to work with every single month.

By getting ambassadorships, you’re able to form a deeper relationship with a brand, get consistent pay & make content that aligns closer to your personal brand.

Getting an ambassadorship is HARD though…

In a future article I’ll be doing a deep dive on how to get ambassadorships,

But if you’re at this stage as a creator, my recommendation on how to approach monetisation is:

1️⃣ Keep leveraging KOL managers & groups, max it out so that you’ve got a consistent stream each week (3 is a sustainable level, 5 is the max that I would scale to — as long as you are creating organic content as well).

2️⃣ Network with people at the brands you want to work with, as you secure ambassadorships, reduce the amount of other opportunities you take on.

Level 4: The Large Influencer

👥 Followers = 20,000+
✨ Impressions = 3,500 per post (organic)

This is the final level of being a Web3 content creator.

If you’re at this stage my strongest recommendation is to start considering how you can create an actual business using your audience size.

The way I did it was:

1️⃣ Secured personal content ambassadorships whilst building our KOL program

2️⃣ As work became consistent, I did ambassadorships simultaneously with running our business.

3️⃣ Now that our organisation is fully up and running, I very rarely take on ambassadorships (purely because of limitations on time).

All the creators who are generating the most revenue end up here as the endgame.

They either turn their audience size into a funnel for a business, or use their reputation to get access to investment opportunities.

Both are viable paths, it all depends on your content style and what you’re best at.

Good luck 🍀

Before we wrap, this is what has been making an impact in my life this week:

1️⃣ Now with how much business is picking up, I’m taking batching tasks to its extreme. Starting to consider creating all video content once per month. The more you batch, the more you can take on.

2️⃣ We’ve gotten so much value out of growing our team, that I’ll be looking to hire for a new position next week. Keep an eye on my X account.

3️⃣ Shoutout to Pix. I’m learning so much from observing his approach to content atm. If you haven’t checked out his newsletter, you can find it here.

If you enjoyed this new format, let me know by replying and saying hey 👋

Have a great weekend friends
