🍄 Become Better:
A quote about predicting trends that I’ve been meditating on this week:
“The future is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed.” - Tim Ferris
This is a quote about how Tim Ferris (NY-times best selling author, investor & podcast host) is able to consistently make early stage investments that have yielded over $100m+, and predict trends before they happen.
In his recent episode with Andrew Huberman, Tim explains that the way he predicts what will become mainstream is he observes two things:
What wealthy people do right now as hobbies, that may one day become cheaper and more mainstream.
What people who work in tech are working on for “fun” on the weekends.
These two categories are often predictors for what will blow up in the future, so pay attention to them when you see them.
🌿 Feel f*cking fantastic:
The simplest way to get into cooking.
If there’s one thing that I’ve always been a bit embarrassed by, it’s the fact that I have literally no idea how to cook.
I get Uber eats way too often, and I eat out at least once per day.
This is both expensive, and means I don’t eat as healthily as I would like too.
The excuse I’ve always given myself is that as an NFT founder “I don’t have the time.”
Prep, cooking and cleanup all take me at least 2 hours no matter how simple the meal is.
But the other day, my partner convinced me to buy this book and it’s been a game changer.
After 9 years of trying to learn, I’m finally cooking consistently.
The best part about the book is that 5 ingredients is always 5 ingredients.
This simple constraint has helped me simplify the meals, learn the basics, and now I’m adding new ingredients to the recipes that I have learnt.
If you’ve never been able to get into cooking, get this book, start with the basics, and in no time you’ll feel like you can take on any meal.
🤝 BAYC is hiring: $90,000 - $275,000
Last week I shared that Azuki is hiring, with jobs ranging between $75,000 - $250,000.
But I did some digging and found that Yuga Labs actually has the most jobs available in Web3.
Their roles span almost every niche from Creative, to Finance, to Software Development.
You can catch the full thread at:
$275,000 to work at BAYC.
Yuga Labs has more jobs available than any other NFT company in Web3.
If you want to work full time in Web3, these are the 12 jobs at Yuga that you may be qualified for.

📈 Progress Update: What to do when your content flops.
If you want to see what the process of developing a content format looks like, this article is for you.
A few weeks ago, I shared an article about what to do when your content flops.
(Because I wrote a piece of content that I thought would perform well… and it didn’t.)
So what happened?
I was testing a new format where I shared the biggest stories from the previous week in AI.
This was based on my best performing thread of all time that got 3,000,000+ views & helped me gain 10,000 followers in 3 days.
Following the success of the earlier thread, this was my first post in my AI news series:
AI game characters, A camera that can take photos without being able to see, and Time Magazine declaring the 'End of Humanity'
The past week in AI has been heating up.
Here’s the latest news you may have missed.

It was one of my lowest performing threads of the year with 89 likes, 16 retweets, & 23 bookmarks.
But I believed in the format, so instead of quitting. I decided to see what I could do to improve the format.
I’m now in week 4 of posting it, with improvements made every week. Here’s the progress so far:
So what have I improved? 🤔
Let’s start with…
Week 2: I made the opening graphic more minimal and professional.
I also used a font that was on theme with the content of AI. This made the thread feel much more trustworthy.
The use of red was also deliberate to make someone pause for a moment and stop scrolling.
Every week, too much happens in AI to keep track of.
If you missed last week’s news,
These were the 5 biggest stories so you can stay in the loop in 2 minutes or less.

Week 3: I reflected on how although Week 2 was more professional, it was too generic.
My goal for Week 3 was to show that this thread was personally curated. The message that I wanted to send was: This is not a generic thread that was made by someone using ChatGPT, this thread has had time and energy put into it.
So I made a personalised thumbnail that I had a bit of fun with, using Photoshop AI. I also shortened the hook.
All of these changes resulted in a further boost in engagement.
If you’re all in on Web3, but missed the news on AI.
Here’s a 2 minute recap on the latest updates to start your week.

Week 4: Now that I’d been having fun with it, I wanted to fully insert myself into the story.
I made a stronger connection between the storytelling in the hook and the image that I selected.
But the MOST impactful change that I made was defining my audience better.
Previously I was trying to target anyone interested in AI. This time I was trying to target Web3 people, interested in AI.
With my followers being made up almost entirely of Web3 enthusiasts, I used being narrow and specific to get MORE engagement than I was previously.
It’s interesting how narrowing your audience can actually increase how many people engage with the content.
This changes the thread from being generic information that you might scroll past, to feeling personalised to the reader.
This angle made a massive impact and almost doubled my engagement compared to the previous week.
Every weekend I spend 5 hours researching AI to make sure I don’t miss anything important.
If you’re in Web3 full time, you don’t need to research anything.
You just need these 7 updates.

I’m having a lot of fun with this AI format, most of all because I find it interesting to learn about as I write.
This was the first week where I had notable growth after posting an AI thread (+60 followers).
I’ll continue to build on it and report back any major progress.
🧗 Started from the bottom now we’re here…
If you’re new here, one of the core principles of the content I share is that a newsletter is the most linear and simple business you can start in Web3. It has high sponsorship revenue and can go from being a side hustle to a full-time business in under a year. I am building this newsletter in public, to share the progress each week so that you can be a part of the journey. Now let’s get into it 👇
A week of consistency has gotten solid traction.
